Halfway between Dallas and Austin on I-35, on the banks of the Brazos River, Waco grows and thrives.
Huaco Native Americans settled here (which sounds like "Waco" when it's said). It's the birthplace of Dr Pepper and a cream soda called Big Red.
It's home to the Baylor Bears' university and football games. Be sure to visit the Texas Rangers and the Texas Sports halls of fame.
